Anjorbirdkansing (say it quickly) hangs in the John Lennon Suite at the Hard Day's Night Hotel
The story behind the painting: Shannon based her confined time limit around this "test" painting for the Hard Day's Night Hotel. After a 3 month/18 hour a day grueling schedule to complete this masterpiece (The only painting Shannon ever considered a masterpiece) it was decided this caliber of painitng would be impossible to create for every room, especially if the hotel was to open its doors within a year. "What's with the parrot?", everyone asks. Shannon has answered this question more times then the time limit of the painting. "First off, it is not a parrot but a blue and gold macaw. During the period of Hey Jude/Revolution the boys visited a theater and played around with props, clothing, and . . . the unknown macaw. I like the bird. It adds color balance and a certain bit of whimsicality to the painting while letting me play with the title. I am looking forward to painting the other three Beatles in the same creative format".
