The gift to understand “The Hot Rod” and how’s its enthusiastic magnetism pulls gear heads into its vicious circle, never to release them, comes from her father -Paul. As a young girl, Shannon watched her father tune a race engine like a Stradivarius. “To hear my Dad tune a dual carb until it was in syncopated-harmony was pure magic”. Being the black sheep of the family (she loves Chevys – they love Mopar) put her, once again, on a path of her own. Still caught in the vicious circle, Shannon goes on to create the The Hot Rod in her own style.

Shannon is widely regarded as The World's Greatest Beatles Artist. A name bestowed upon her by the Lord Mayor of Liverpool in 1998. Shannon started her Beatles artwork by entering a 1990 Beatles Art Contest in New York where she won the first prize. She began to tour Beatles festivals around the world with just an Iwata Airbrush and Electric Eraser painting at live events to showcase her Beatles artwork. Her success was immediately recognized across the globe, especially in Liverpool. Shannon received a call from Bill Heckle owner of the world famous Cavern Club asking her to provide artwork for the historic Hard Days Night Hotel project. Bill said, 'Shannon is the only artist in the world for the job.'
Shannon was soon commissioned to create more than 110 pieces of original artwork for the Hard Days Night Hotel. Just a few yards away from the world famous Cavern Club, the hotel opened it's doors in February 2008. Shannon took just 2 years to create over 100 paintings. Trevor Lynn, of HDNH said: “The artwork is absolutely stunning and provides the core theme to the hotel. Growing up in the hills and deep woods of New Jersey’s Pine Barons naturally put a motorcycle between this tall blonde’s legs. She soon became a die-hard enthusiast of motocross racing. And yes…she was good at it.
Shannon’s “passion” for speed, front wheel suspended in air acrobats, and extreme slingshot heights, were all implanted early in life. Like a potent catalyst, the “drive” to create was along for the ride.
From top to bottom, Shannon, alone, has created the first dozen Phantasy Choppers® motorcycles. They smack of street hugging velocity, bullet-like curves, fat bottom rear-end torch, and an awesomely bad tempered look that reflects a blatant attempt to annihilate the competition. Cover Art has always made its way onto Shannon's easel in some capacity. In January of 2008, Shannon, by chance, met a writer named Christine Hutman. As time went on the two spoke of many things - includng THE ARTIST (Shannon) and THE WRITER (Christine) and their future endeavors. Christine asked Shannon to create a cover for her book. Shannon agreed after reading her book, which has become a dear favorite. As time went on the couple's fondness for each other grew and Shannon was asked to write a bit about the book. A bit meaning- Shannon wrote The Forward! She says, "I love the book. I love the writer. Hutman is witty, funny, talented, and so much more. It's a fun read and is made for everyone, especially anyone who is going through a breakup or remembers the time(s) when they did". Shannon's award winning illustrations and portraits of pets from around the globe have made their entry on postage stamps, lithographs, posters, tee-shirt designs, advertisements, and into museums and more.
Her postage stamp set of "Hollywood's Famous Movie Star Dogs" was a big success in 1999 and led to her creating "Hollywood's Famous Movie Star Cats". She won two national awards for Animal Tee-shirt Design with her cartoon portraits of "Lizard Lounge" and "Dog Day Afternoon".
